My review of the the new Sleigh Bells album Bitter Rivals over at Pretty Much Amazing:

“A hailstorm of propulsive demonic beats, buzz-shredding guitars and kaleidoscopic instrumentation – with Krauss’s vocal backflipping around amidst the clamor. There’s something paradoxically elegant about the way it all comes together…”

“Are the melodies as strong as ever? Not always. Are the lyrics still largely infantile? Yes; but with an album this fun, do we care? Not at all…”

8.2 Stars (8.2 / 10)

    1. Hi Elisa, they’ve always been a love-them-or-loathe-them kind of band. It took me a while to get into this album, but it was worth the effort. I think it’s really strong. And the lead single is ridiculosuly good.

What are your thoughts?
